Wildfires Pick(s) Of The Day

Our first pick of the day is Tidor. These guys live show exudes power, with all members playing to their fullest. It really will be one of the highlights of Screamfest this year we're sure. Check out them doing an acoustic version of their song "16 Steps" below. And if they are this good acoustic, imagine it with the full electric line up...

Second pick of the day goes to Tenyson. Rock/Grunge/Metal greatness from these guys, killer riffs, great 90's era grunge vocals and a pounding rythm section = good tunes! Check them out live below:

Scream Lounge can be found at 20 South End, Croydon, CR0 1DN. Entry is for over 18's only, ID will be required. Tickets for Screamfest are selling out fast so be sure to get them early from the bar or Ticketweb: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=440719

Wildfires Pick(s) Of The Day

Our first pick of the day is the purely fantastic Size Nine. Tight rythm sections combined with horns and fantastic vocal lines, this group will have the place funking late into the night we're sure! Check out the video below to get a feel of what they do.

We've gone for Banned Sauce as our second pick of the day. These guys certainly put on a live show! Expect crazy costumes, crazy tunes and smooth grooves. Check them out! (They also help prove my theory that nearly everything with harmonicas in it is cool...)

Screamlounge can be found at 20 South End, Croydon, CR0 1DN. Entry is for over 18's only, ID will be required. Tickets for Screamfest are selling out fast so be sure to get them early from the bar or Ticketweb: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=439116

Wildfires Pick(s) Of The Day

We know its not "cool" to pick the top billed band as a favourite, but we would be foolish not to choose es0terica as one of our picks of the day. With clear comparisons to Tool, these guys have been rocking out festivals such as Download over the past few years. Check out their video below and check them out at Screamfest!

As our second pick of the day, we choose Wildfire favourites Deprevate. Thankfully having a drummer in time for Screamfest since the departure of their previous drummer a few months ago, Deprevate are no doubt itching to get back on stage and rock out! Check out the fantastic "Our War" video below:

Nineteenseventynine @ Scream Lounge Croydon

Tomorrow night Croydon alternative rock trio Nineteenseventynine are due to play Scream Lounge, South End, showcasing their unique blend of grunge, punk and alternative stylings, amidst a line up including JSA, House of Rogues and Megan Rees.

Nineteenseventynine are no strangers to Scream Lounge, frontman Josh having performed at a Wildfire night supporting Dave McPherson, a night that went down well with both the assembled crowd and the Wildfire team themselves.

The band have helpfully given us a copy of their track 'Screenagers' for you to have a listen to, in order to aid your decision making process. Look out for a review of both the track and the night very soon on this page.

Entry is £2 and doors are at 7.30pm. See you there!
